Hosted Requirements
The HighOrbit Workflow Automation system is written in Java and utilizes a relational SQL database. It is hosted on a Unix-based web server in order to provide maximum speed, reliability and security.
Requirements
- Any workstation/device with a browser and Internet access. System is accessed through a secured login and password. IE7+, FireFox, Safari, or Chrome recommended.
- Broadband Internet connection is recommended.
Self Hosted Requirements
If an organization prefers to self-host the HighOrbit Workflow Automation system, the following requirements are recommended.
Server Minimum System Requirements:
- 2GHz Processor, 2GB RAM or better Workflow Engine, database and Web Server(s) (can be split among machines if required)
- Windows XP, 2003/2008 Server, Vista, Windows 7, Solaris, Redhat (Recent Versions), Mandriva (Recent Versions)
- Disk Space: 1GB for Web Server, 5GB for Workflow Engine, plus database storage
Supported Databases:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
- MySQL 5.1 or later
Admin/Designer Workstation:
- 1GHz CPU, 1GB RAM or better
- Windows, Unix, MAC
- Java 1.6.0 or later
- IE7+, FireFox, Safari, Chrome
- Internet Connection (TCP/IP ports 6051 and 6052)
Web Client:
- Any Web Enabled Computer (PC, MAC, Unix, terminals)
- IE7+, FireFox, Safari, Chrome
